Excel spreadsheet version of NUREG-6345 “Radiation Dose Estimates For Radiopharmaceuticals” by M.G. Stabin, J.B. Stubbs & R.E. Toohey (April 1996)
Excel spreadsheet version of NUREG-6345 “Radiation Dose Estimates For Radiopharmaceuticals” by M.G. Stabin, J.B. Stubbs & R.E. Toohey (April 1996). The spreadsheets are locked except for the “Administered Activity” cell where you input the data. The spreadsheet calculates the dose to each organ system and determines the effective dose equivalent for most common radiopharmaceuticals. If the formatting (mostly column width) is wrong, you can unlock the spreadsheets using the password revealed in the “Technical Note” section on the cover page. The sheets are locked to preserve the integrity of the tabular data sets.

HPS2006 Powerpoint presentation on the issues presented by dialysis patients who are administered I-131 for thyroid cancer.
This powerpoint presentation was given at the HPS 2006 Annual Meeting and discusses the radiation safety and dosimetry issues encountered when administering I-131 therapy to dialysis patients. Three case histories are presented showing the excretion kinetics and their effects on whole body dose. Both peritoneal and hemodialysis patient cases are discussed. The presentation also suggests ways to model prospectively the post-Rx dialysis schedule and the resultant excretion kinetics to lower the administered dose to control whole body dose.
