An MS EXCEL based daily log for monitoring the output of linear accelerators using a 5 point monitor chamber.
How it is designed to work: At the beginning of each month the outputs for each beam is measured three times in a row and this forms the basis for comparison for all the daily measurements that are performed the remainder of the month. The data for these reference measurements are entered on the last worksheet, labeled “Limits”. Measured data is entered in cells colored green and the default color is blue for cells yet to be measured. This worksheet automatically calculates the mean measured values as well as the upper and lower limits (+/- 3% of mean) and displays those values in white cells immediately below the measured data. All white cells are “protected” (without password) from modification and can be unprotected using the command Tools>Protection>Unprotect Sheet… It is recommended to leave protected cells in protected mode. Data in blue cells is simply a copy of the data from the month immediately preceeding. This is to allow the worksheet to provide reference information for a period before the current month’s reference data has been entered. At the beginning of a new month the data in the blue cells can be deleted, the cell color should be changed to green and the new data entered into them. After this is complete the data is used in the weekly worksheets to look up the reference information using the month as an index.
